Sports Betting General Rules
All the provisions established for Pre-Game Betting, where possible and unless otherwise stated, apply also to Live betting. Furthermore, a dedicated section of the Sports Betting Rules regulates the existing Live Betting typologies.
All the information, dates, and timings published by LuckyBet are purely indicative. If the time or date of a betting event is brought forward, all bets placed before the beginning of the event and confirmed by LuckyBet shall be considered valid, whereas bets placed after will be considered void. In the case of multi bets, only the selection involved will be voided. In such circumstances, the multi bet remains valid even if the minimum number of betting events required was not respected.
Additional or new markets may be made available by LuckyBet from time to time. It is the responsibility of the Customer to read the “Market Rules” applicable before placing any bets.
In the event of any dispute, the Customer agrees that the records of our server shall act as the final authority in determining the outcome of any claim.
Who is not allowed to bet:
Bets on events in which the person betting are participating in some capacity, for example, but not limited to, a sportsperson, an athlete, as an owner, or those which are commissioned by any person participating, are not permitted.
Identity and Age Verification:
Gambling under the age of 18 is not permitted. The company will carry out identity and age verification checks upon registration. Any account failing age verification will be closed.
The cashier may at any time in case of doubt request official id from the bettor and refuse to accept bets if in doubt of the actual age of the bettor.
Past Posting:
Placing a bet on an already known outcome is not permitted. In such circumstances bets accepted in error will be declared void. If the bettor is seen to persistently place bets on already known outcomes, the company reserves the right to cease serving said bettor.
Ambiguous Bets:
The company reserves the right to refuse the whole or part of any bet and to make ambiguous bets void.
Palpable Errors:
The company reserves its right to correct obvious errors, before and after the event, and bets inadvertently accepted in such circumstances will be declared void and your stake returned. If the bettor is seen to persistently place bets on errors, the company reserves the right to cease serving said bettor.
Liability/Data Processing:
The company does not assume liability for data input or transmission errors, this includes any form of result messaging, for example, SMS. The company also assumes no liability for the accuracy of live scores, statistics, and intermediate results via live betting.
The company further reserves the right to cancel bets if any such bet was won by the bettor as a result of a technical fault or error, provided the company is able to forensically prove the technical fault or error. In all such circumstances, the bet will be declared void and stakes returned to the bettor account. The company reserves the right to hold the customer liable for any damage caused to the company as a result of such user knowingly taking advantage of a technical or administrative error when making and/or receiving payments.
Collusion:
Customers must register their bet requests as individuals. If the company believes, before or after the official outcome of the selections is known, that customers are acting in collusion or as a syndicate for the purpose of manipulating betting markets, it reserves the right to void bets and withhold payment of any kind, this includes refunding the customer account balance.
Fraud and Collusion:
A number of Bets may be treated as being one when a Customer places multiple copies of the same Bet. When this occurs all bets may be voided apart from the first Bet struck. A number of Bets that contain the same single selection may be treated as being one. When this occurs all Bets may be voided apart from the first Bet struck. An example would be where one particular selection is repeatedly included in multiple bets involving other short-priced selections.
Where there is evidence of a series of Bets each containing the same (or very similar) selection(s) having been placed by or for the same individual or syndicate or individuals, Luckybet reserves the right to make Bets void and suspend relevant accounts. This rule applies to both settled and unsettled bets.
If the player has played in a professional capacity, or in tandem with other Customer(s) as part of a club, group, etc., or placed bets or wagers in a coordinated manner with other Customer(s) involving the same (or materially the same) selections; in this instance, the Company further reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to restrict the total maximum payout for the combined total of any such Bets, to the equivalent of the Maximum Daily Payout limit permitted for a single Customer (as outlined at section 18 above). Luckybet is for sole use on an individual basis and is intended for personal entertainment only.
Luckybet allows only one account per person. Any subsequent accounts opened under the same postcode/personal details/IP address which are found to be related to any existing account may be closed immediately and any Bets will be voided at Luckybet’s discretion. Luckybet reserves the right to reclaim any winnings attained by these means and the Company reserves the right to withhold all or part of the balance and/or recover from the account deposits, payouts, bonuses, any winnings which are attained by these means.
Match Fixing or Price Rigging:
In the event that the company suspects any event manipulation it withholds the right, in its absolute discretion, to withdraw or suspend any or all betting opportunities, within the said event and the company may withhold payment on any such event or market until the respective sports federation has determined its investigation. Furthermore, if the company believes that match or price rigging has taken place, it reserves the right to share your personal data to the respective authorities or any other third party, as part of these investigations.
Stakes
Stake Limits
The customer determines their stakes in accordance with Event and market type winning limits and or regulatory winning limit imposed on said events or market types.
The minimum stake is NGN100.
Bet Stakes
There must be sufficient balance on the account to cover the stake(s), and bets will be accepted only in the order in which they are received and fully covered.
Bet Placement
Confirmation:
A bet is accepted once the company has confirmed it, and the bet appears in the customer account section “My Bets”.
All bets that have not been confirmed before the start of the betting event by the issuance of a code will be considered void. The printing of a bet that has not yet been confirmed by LuckyBet will not be considered as a valid receipt. LuckyBet only recognizes bets that appear as confirmed on the bet list of the betting account. Bets which do not directly appear on LuckyBet’s files or records are not valid. If you are unsure about the validity of a bet, please check your Account or contact our Customer Service.
It is up to the Customer to verify that the number of bets placed, and the amount staked are coherent with his will before confirming the bet. Once confirmed the bet cannot be changed or canceled by the Customer. All odds are subject to possible changes. The official odds are those indicated by LuckyBet in the bet receipt.
Where there is evidence of a series of bets each containing the same selection(s) having been placed by or for the same individual or syndicate of individuals, LuckyBet reserves the right to make bets void or withhold payment of returns pending the outcome of any subsequent investigation.
Void Bets:
If a bet is declared “invalid” or “void”, for individual bets (singles) your stake is returned to your account balance in the situation you are an online customer or refunded by presenting your voucher to a cashier in the shop where you placed the bet, for multi or system bets, the void bet will be evaluated as won with odds of 1.00 for the void bet(s) only, and in this case, the total odds for the combo or system bet will be recalculated accordingly, the combo or system bet can still be won if all other bets therein are won too.
Late Betting:
If the bet – for whatever reasons – is placed after the beginning of the betting event, the bet is void, this does not include live betting.
Accepted Bets:
Bets placed and accepted in good time – apart from the cases mentioned in these Terms and Conditions – may not be revoked or changed. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure that all of the details of his/her bets are correct.
Cancellation
LuckyBet has the right to refuse, accept, or partially accept the bet amount. Furthermore, LuckyBet has the right to cancel all accepted bets before the betting event begins without any explanation. In such cases, a communication informing the client of the cancellation of the bet will be sent to the client’s registered email address or a private message will be sent to the User’s betting account. In case of irregularities impacting upon the outcome of a betting event (e.g. team playing with youth squad because of strike/protest/illness etc.) LuckyBet has the right to declare the whole betting event void even after its termination.
Calculation of winnings
Calculation:
Winnings are calculated by multiplying the stake by the fixed odds. In the case of live bets, should the odds change prior to bet confirmation, the customer is able to accept any changes during the bet placement process. The actual odds will be displayed in the bet confirmation notification.
Payout:
Winnings are paid out in accordance with maximum winning limits (see below). The company is not liable for any excess amount.
The Customer has an obligation to inform LuckyBet as soon as possible of any amount wrongly credited on his/her account. LuckyBet may at any time set off any positive balance resulting from the erroneous operation, as well as cancel possible bets or transactions made with the erroneously credited funds.
Winning limits:
In line with the General Terms and Conditions, winning limits for cash bets are as follows:
Customer Winning Limits:
The company reserves the right to determine the winning limits by an individual customer
Tax:
If winning bets are or become subject to taxes and levies imposed by the provincial government, such taxes and levies shall be retained by LuckyBet and paid on behalf of the player.
Resulting
Specific Sport Rules
There are exceptions or variations to these general betting rules for certain sports and bets. The bettor should therefore always consult the sport-specific rules of each sport.
All bets stand:
Unless otherwise stated, the principle “all bets stand” applies to all bets. This means, that if the athlete or team, etc., on whom/which the bet has been placed, fails to participate – for whatever reason – the bet is lost, unless;
- The event or tournament is canceled or declared void
- The venue has changed
- Live betting (Non-Runner = No bet)
- Head to Head betting = If one or more participant is withdrawn
- The event or tournament is interrupted for a period of more than 24 hours after the original start date
Determined bets:
All bets where the outcome is already decided, are settled as won, regardless of subsequent abandonment of the event/tournament at any time.
Amendment (24 hours rule):
The company recognizes only those results, which have been achieved on the playing field or platform. Results amounting from disciplinary measures from a sports court or another court of law are not considered. In case of violation of sports laws, the company reserves the right to freeze the winnings and withhold payment.
Postponement “48 hours” rule:
If a betting event is postponed, canceled or does not start at the time displayed in the betting offer for whatever reason, and restarted not later than 48 hours from the displayed start date, the bets are void.
Combo or System Bets:
If any selection does not participate in an event (except the “All bets stand”) principle, or if one of the selected events is abandoned or canceled or does not take place for other reasons, and the respective betting events are not held within 24 hours, these bets are evaluated as “won” at odds of 1.00 which means that the multi or system bet can still be won depending on the other results that are part of it.
Related Bets:
The customer may not combine (multi) related bets on the same event. Related bets are two or more different bets that have related contingency. Related bets do not necessarily contain the same result or refer to the same action. As the relation of bets is not always as obvious as in the example above, the company reserves the right to determine which bets are related to each other. If a multi bet containing 2 or more related picks has been accepted in error, the company reserves the right to declare this bet void
Example: If you bet ‘Over 2.5 goals’ it cannot be combined with 1.5 Goals, one is dependent on the other outcome.
Dead Heats (tie):
If there is more than one athlete or team, or horse achieving the same placing, the following formula is enforced
Original Odds / ‘X’ (if 2 winners, X = 2, if 3 winners, X = 3, etc.)
Playing Times:
In all sports, only regular playing time counts (including injury/added time) Any extra time or penalty shoot-outs, etc. will have no influence on the settlement of any regular time bets.
Disqualifications:
For all bets referring to the final result of the event/tournament, any player/starter/team that is disqualified for whatever reasons within 24 hours after the end of the event/tournament will be deemed a loser.
Odd- or Even- betting:
If the result is “0” then bets will be settled as “Even”.
Handicap/Spread:
The event must be completed for bets to stand.
Total betting (all bets containing the betting options “Over” and “Under”):
If the event is abandoned before its completion then all bets will be void, unless the highest possible total outcome has already been achieved, in which case all bets stand.
Head-to-Head (H2H) betting:
All selections must take part, or bets will be void
Medal betting:
All bets on the number of medals will be settled on the official medal table at the end of the event (e.g. Olympic Games, World Championships, …). Any changes made by any governing body at a later date do not count for betting purposes.
Team medals: Any medals won by a team/nation per competition count as one medal regardless of the number of team members.
